As medicine and quality of life have improved greatly, life expectancy has increased by a significant number of years. The average American life expectancy in the 1950’s was very close to the retirement age of 65. It is now around 78 years, and many individuals enjoy many years, well into their 80’s, in good health. However, when severe illness with no hope of recovery robs one of any quality of life, there are many professionals and spiritual leaders calling for an ethical discussion of the right to end one’s life with dignity. Please come and listen to our remarkable speakers discussing this important issue.
