Roundtable of the APA Interdisciplinary COVID-19 Task Force

The American Psychological Association (APA) Interdisciplinary Covid-19 Task Force was initiated by Charles Figley, a well-known figure in the field of trauma and resilience research. The Task Force is comprised of psychologists and mental health professionals across the USA, as well as from other countries.  The purpose of the task force is to identify vulnerable sub-groups and their psychological needs during the unusual conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and the confluence of coalescing economic, social and political crises that followed in its wake. I am chairing the Older Adults and Caregivers Working Group of the Task Force.

Last Thursday (October 8), Dr. Marilyn Safir and I were invited to make a presentation about this work at the weekly roundtable of the Interpersonal Violence Working Group of the Task Force. You can access the videorecording of the roundtable session at:
