Dear friends and colleagues,
I am conducting a research study in collaboration with my colleague, Prof. Amit Shrira at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. The study aims to examine the responses of adult offspring of Holocaust survivors to the Covid-19 pandemic, and compare them with the reactions of peers who are not children of survivors.
I need both 2Gs AND those who are NOT 2Gs (as a comparison group) to fill out the research questionnaire which is online, and takes no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Your participation in this study will help us understand the needs and coping methods of Jewish adults during the coronavirus pandemic. The findings of this study will help us provide better support to Jewish adults. The questionnaire is completely confidential and does not request your name or any other identifying data. The research will be performed using software that is especially designed to manage and keep such data secure.
Please note that this study focuses on adult Jewish persons born after 1945, both of whose parents were alive before 1945. Both parents should have born in North or South America, Europe including the former Soviet Union, Oceania, South Africa, or Israel. The reason we are interested in these specific Jewish persons is that our purpose is to compare Holocaust offspring and offspring to parents who have not undergone the Holocaust (but who are European descent). If you fit the above-mentioned criteria, we would greatly appreciate your participation in the study. If you do not fit the criteria, we would appreciate if you could disseminate our questionnaire to others you know who could fit the criteria and might agree to participate.
To fill out the questionnaire, please click on this link.
With gratitude and best regards,
Irit Felsen, PhD
