In September, I had the honor of giving the plenary presentation at the most recent gathering of the World Federation of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Descendants (WFJHS&D), which took place in Toronto, Canada. My talk addressed how October 7 and the Israel/Gaza war have been impacting the descendants of Holocaust survivors.

Dr. Felsen,
Thank you for this meaningful and important presentation. I’m a 74 yr. old 2G, born in Israel, came here at age 8, that has been very traumatized since 10/7/23.
I, also, very much appreciate your 2G zoom sessions. It’s one of the only places that I feel a strong sense of connection and security as a 2G Jew.
Thank you for being the voice for so many of us who do feel a sense of isolation and the need to connect.
With gratitude,

Dear Mary,
Thank you very much for you email, it was profoundly meaningful and reinforcing for me.
I wish you and all of us a Happy Chanuka, may we see light for the hostages, the soldiers, their families and all of our people.
Warmly,
Irit
