Educators Coming to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, A Living Memorial to the Holocaust to Learn About The Holocaust and Its Lessons for Today

Last Month at the Fanya Gottesfeld Heller Conference for Educators, titled “Lives Turned Upside Down: Teenagers During The Holocaust”, there was an outstanding turnout of educators who teach about the Holocaust and its lessons for young people in 21^st century. Organized by Elizabeth Edelstein, Vice President for Education at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, the evening included my lecture entitled: “Defying Evil: Child and Adolescent Holocaust Survivors”, which was followed by Prof. Samuel Kassow, who read excerpts from the diaries of adolescents who perished in the Holocaust, written in real-time during the Holocaust.
