I will be leading a six-part discussion group, in the form of a free online webinar, entitled “Grief and Renewal After the Loss of a Holocaust Survivor”. The program is hosted and supported by MJHS. Their announcement of the program is copied below.

MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care, the largest hospice provider in NYS under Jewish auspices, is proud to announce the launch of a six-part series of virtual grief discussion groups for family members and friends of Holocaust Survivors. As a not-for-profit rooted in Jewish values and traditions, we care for hundreds of Holocaust Survivors at the end of life, and by extension, for their families and close friends. Over the years, we have received requests from children and family of survivors for grief support specific to their experiences as members of the second and third generations. This need has not been met until now.

Generous funding for this powerful series has been provided by Targum Shlishi, a Raquel and Aryeh Rubin Foundation, as well as donations from many family and friends of Holocaust Survivors who received hospice care rom MJHS. With additional help from MJHS Foundation, MJHS Institute for Innovation and Palliative Care and encouragement from our partners at UJA, Claims Conference and many organizations committed to supporting needs of Holocaust Survivors, MJHS is able to finally satisfy this pressing and growing need among Holocaust Survivor families.
Please share this with your clients, friends and relevant individuals and organizations. For additional information, please contact tweiss@mjhs.org
We look forward to your participation,
