After a very moving and powerful first session held on March 6, we will hold tomorrow (Sunday March 13) at 1 pm EST the second session of the ongoing three-part program honoring the hidden child survivors of the Holocaust. The original notice is appended below, and clicking on the image below will take you to the registration page for tomorrow’s session. (I will post again before session 3 on Sunday March 20, providing the update registration link for that session then.)

Working with the Museum of Jewish Heritage, I will be hosting a three-part program honoring the hidden child survivors of the Holocaust. Child survivors are a unique group within the larger group of those who lived through the Holocaust. Their experiences have been minimized for a long time, and they were being told that they were too young to know what was going on around them, or too young to remember their suffering.

On Sunday March 6, we will gather via Zoom for the first session in a series of three of a program for and about the hidden children. Participation in the program is open to hidden children only and free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Please register for the first session by following the link by clicking on the flyer below.

If you register, you will also receive a link to my interview with Dr. Robert Krell, an internationally known psychiatrist and hidden child survivor. If you can, listen to this interview before attending the first session.

Were the first two sessions recorded? I just learned about this.

    • Irit Felsen, Ph.D. says

      Dear Jeffrey,

Thank you for your interest in our meetings. The first part, a short presentation by me, some 10-15 minutes long, was recorded on both the first and the second meeting. However, in order to allow
a very open expression free of any constraints, the discussion that followed, with the participants speaking to each other, was not recorded.

I hope you can join us for session 3 this coming Sunday (I will post later this week the registration link). Also, given that quite a few of the hidden children expressed an interest in a continuing forum for meeting other hidden children, we are putting something in place which we will also announced on Sunday, as well as on my blog.

      With warm regards,

      Irit
