Location: Boca Raton, Florida

More info

I am pleased to announce that, along with my friend and colleague Dr. Jenny Frumer, I will again be facilitating an in-person workshop for Children of Holocaust Survivors (2Gs).  The in-person workshop will take place from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm on Monday February 16 in Boca Raton, Florida, and is sponsored by MorseLife.

2Gs carry a legacy that continues to shape how we understand ourselves, our families, and the ways we move through life as we age.  The stage of life where we currently are naturally brings opportunities to re-examine our identities, priorities, and sense of purpose. This workshop aims at focusing intentionally and mindfully on enhancing our lives in this phase of life.

The workshop will include, in addition to some presentations, an emphasis on interactive activities that are designed to help us identify and draw on the strengths honed by our life experiences, and to boost our resilience to face current challenges.

  • Some of us might be caring for family members, which might feel emotionally complicated.
  • We might be reflecting on our roles and relationships with siblings, partners, and longtime friends, as these change and evolve.
  • Our relationships with adult children and grandchildren are also evolving as they establish their own families, bring in spouses and partners, and choose how to continue, or struggle with, their connections to history, Judaism, and Israel. Today’s heightened tension around identity, which is felt by many Jewish people, can feel especially significant and emotionally intricate for 2Gs, and even more so for 3Gs.

We invite you to join us for a meaningful and restorative day with others who truly understand the 2G experience. More information, as well as the link to register to attend, can be found by clicking the image below.  Note that this workshop is an in-person event only.  I hope to see you there!
